What Is An Electric Actuator?
Release time:2020-07-28 15:11:48

Electric actuator: It is an important type of actuator, which consists of actuator and regulating valve. It adopts the scheme of the servo system. The signal from the regulator drives the motor through the servo amplifier, drives the regulator valve through the reducer, and at the same time feeds back the stroke of the valve stem to the servo amplifier through the position transmitter to form a position servo system. Rely on position negative feedback to ensure that the input signal is accurately converted to the stroke of the valve stem.

Actuator: It is an important part of the automatic adjustment system. It directly controls the amount of material or energy being adjusted according to the order of the regulator.

Popular saying: electric actuator = electric actuator

Teaching books and other textbooks refer to: electric actuator = electric actuator + valve body

Because there are many types of valve bodies: straight-through valves, butterfly valves, ball valves, gate valves, etc.

Electric actuators and various valve bodies form another type of products-electric regulating valves (which can also be subdivided into: electric regulating straight valves, electric regulating butterfly valves, electric regulating ball valves, etc.).

Therefore, the electric actuator is used to refer to the electric actuator, without the valve body.

The electric actuator is composed of motor, deceleration mechanism, limit mechanism, over-torque protection mechanism and position feedback device.

The electric actuator uses the electric motor as the driving source and the DC current as the control and feedback signal.

When the upper instrument or computer sends out a control signal, the electric actuator moves proportionally according to the signal size, the valve or damper is opened to the corresponding opening through the output shaft, and the system opening signal is fed back to the control room to complete the system. Adjustment function. Devices and other components.

Electric actuators can also be used with instruments such as operators and servo amplifiers.

The role of the manipulator is:

A. Transmit the signal, provide the operator with visual input and feedback signal value in the control room, which is convenient for observing the valve position on site.

B. When the control signal fails or overhauls the system, it can be used to directly operate the electric actuator to complete manual manual operation in the event of accident overhaul.

The role of the servo amplifier (ie position locator) is:

Signal amplification, it accepts 4-20mA control signal, amplifies the signal into a strong electrical signal that can control the motor's forward and reverse, and controls the actuator to achieve forward or reverse rotation.

The servo amplifier has two modes for customers to choose:

A. The control board for the actuator itself is equipped with a servo amplifier function, which is compact in structure, does not need to occupy the space behind the instrument panel, and is relatively simple to install and debug (ie, electronic integration).

B. The other is a separate position locator, which is installed after the instrument panel. This is a more traditional application method, and it is easier to repair and replace (ie, discrete proportional adjustment type).

When the electric actuator is connected to various valve bodies, various regulating valves are formed.
